These Are the Steps We Take to Create the Kitchen of Your Dreams

  • Assess Your Needs

This step involves thinking about what you want to accomplish, setting aside a budget, and meeting with your designer to discuss your goals. The perfect place to start in a kitchen remodel, for example, is with our Kitchen Design Survey. You may have a different project, such as a small bathroom or home office that may require you to ask different questions.

  • Research and Planning

Now that you know what you want to accomplish, how much you are willing to spend, and who is going to help you along the way, it is time to do some research. Sounds horrible! But many people find this the most exciting step of the design process, including the designer! It’s time to select suppliers, finishes, colors, and style. Decide on a layout, or a plan that you like and will function well.

  • Implementation

Make the final decision. You’ve done the research and have decided exactly what you want and exactly what it will cost. You have found out more about the different performance characteristics of wood species or about the fiber content of carpet than you ever cared to know. But it has enabled you to make a decision based on facts as well as instinct.

  • Execution

The moment when subcontractors and materials all converge onsite is the moment of execution. Hopefully you are well-prepared for this moment by either having the project in the hands of those you trust, or in your own, able-bodied hands. It is a stressful time if you do not understand the progression of events. A designer will fill you in on what you can expect, to make the time as pleasant as possible. In the meantime, our goal is to complete the job quickly and efficiently and with the least amount of interruption to your daily tasks.
